Five resale clothing brands are moving into the Strey Collective co-op studio just in time for Art Attack this weekend. Now open: Foxglove Online Market
After shutting down over the pandemic, Christine Hoffman’s Foxglove floral shop is reopening its online marketplace for online orders. Foxglove started as a brick-and-mortar store and floral studio in St. Paul, and becoming a leading the Twin Cities slow-flower movement, before closing in 2016. Greenhouse Salon & Shop Opening Day
Last week, the Bryn Mawr neighborhood welcomed a new storefront: Greenhouse, a salon and shop. Founded by Emilia Luciano of Second Life Thrift—a retail vet with 15 years of retail and customer service experience—and Jae Wencl, a master hair stylist with over 15 years of experience in the salon industry. Greenhouse specializes in organic hair care and also sells house plants, plant care, vintage home decor and accessories, and handmade goods by local makers, and plan to also sell vintage clothing and handmade clothing and accessories from rotating vendors. They also have plans to offer workshops on houseplant care, design and maintenance. A soft opening is scheduled for this Tuesday, with a grand opening party in December. First Thursdays are part of a long tradition of monthly events at NKB—the largest building of artist studios in the state of Minnesota—which opens for the public to tour studios, meet the artists, and shop the art. Fine Art Collectors Live Auctions
Local auction house, Revere Auctions, is hosting two days of live, online auctions that art collectors will not want to miss. Day one features fine art, including a collection of old Master paintings and important 20th c. works of art, along with a selection of fine furnishings, jewelry, and decorative art. Tare Market Holiday Pop-up
South Minneapolis zero-waste store, Tare Market, is popping up in Northeast Minneapolis for the holidays beginning this weekend. Tare Market is Minnesota's first zero-waste store with a mission of helping others live a more waste-free life through plastic-free and packaging-free goods. Many of their products are sourced locally, and they work with many women and BIPOC brands to bring their plastic-free products to you. Fall Open Studios Events in NE Minneapolis
Every fall, the artist buildings of Northeast Minneapolis host a series of open studio events on the same weekend, just in time for you to st art thinking about holiday gift shopping (Think Art-A-Whirl, but for fall.) The biggest of the buildings, the Northrup King Building, brings together over 350 artists and artisans for its Art Attack event along with live music, food and artist demonstrations. Bachman's Winter Farmers Market
Winter Farmers Markets are back at Bachman’s. Enjoy farm-fresh foods and support your community growers at the same time! TMORA Holiday Shop Unveiling at Russian Museum of Art
The Museum of Russian Art Shop officially opens for the holiday season this weekend. Located on the mezzanine level of The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis, MN, the TMORA Shop is a gallery within a gallery – carefully curated and beautifully unique. MN Christmas Market
The MN Christmas Market is an annual pop-up holiday shopping event that showcases homegrown brands and makers, with a charitable twist. The $1 entry fee and 7% of sales and concessions from the event will be donated to The Reel Hope Project, which helps foster kids find their forever homes. Nearly 50 makers will be featured at each of the four market events taking place across the state. The Neighborhood Roots Winter Market season kicks off this weekend in the Fulton Farmers Market site. Ribnick Furs Closing Sale
The Twin Cities' last remaining furrier is closing its doors after 76 years of business. After months of preparation, Twin Cities vintage seller Haus Theory has opened its first storefront. Located in White Bear Lake, the shop features hand-picked and restored vintage furniture and home decor alongside well-designed modern pieces, with an emphasis on a less-is-more, intentional shopping experience. Longtime local mom-and-pop letterpress and design studio is opening its first storefront. Northeast Minneapolis’ Central Avenue is now home to Roseline’s Place, owned by Roseline Friedrich of local soy + vegan candle maker Roseline’s Candles, an Immigrant- and Black-Woman-owned local business that sells its candles in recycled jars. WALRUS 
WALRUS is an artist- and community-led art and consignment gallery and marketplace that opened earlier this year in North Minneapolis. It sells and showcases affordable, framed artwork by local artists. Within the shop, you’ll find pieces priced from $25 to $2,500, about 90% of which is made by local artists.
