Dancing Arms Hair Accessory Collection Drop
Emma Olson, the former owner of sustainable Minneapolis shop Hazel & Rose, moved to L.A. last year to embark a new path. Part of that path has been to launch a new brand of handmade hair accessories she makes using punch needle embroidery (a technique typically used to craft rugs). True to her sustainable, shop-small ethos, Dancing Arms items are made using natural or repurposed fibers and materials, ensuring as little waste as possible. (Tiny yarn scraps are currently being accumulated for a secret future project.) She's launching the line of barrettes and one special headband this week online. American Craft Council Library Open House
After almost two years of being closed, the American Craft Council Library will reopen to the public. The library houses books, exhibition catalogues, periodicals, newsletters and more about modern craft dating from 1940 to today. Yves Salomon Launch at Bumbershute
Celebrate the newest addition to the luxury lineup of designer clothing boutique, Bumbershute, Yves Salomon, with this in-store event hosted by stylist Anthony Chow. Yves Salomon is synonymous with fine furs and French craftsmanship, making its name supplying famed fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior and Yvees Saint Laurent. Now a heritage brand in its own right, Yves Salomon has begun introducing non-fur materials, including shearling. The fashion house also has a line of upcycled fur items named Pieces, for which collaborators are invited to utilize the brand’s archive and recreate garments using some of its stock. With that being said, all of the fur the brand does source is controlled by Fur Mark, a strict independent certification relegated in the direction of animal welfare. Ribnick Furs Closing Sale

Tandem Vintage
After a stint within the FindFurnish storefront in Northeast Minneapolis before hunkering down within its home studio during the pandemic, Tandem Vintage is striking out on its own with its first storefront. Founded by Amanda Baumann in 2011, Tandem specializes in colorful, playful, wearable vintage clothing, accessories and home goods from a mix of decades with a sustainable ethos. Moth Oddities
After nearly seven years selling vintage online, in local pop-ups and on the road, Moth Oddities has finally opened the doors to their new storefront in Northeast Minneapolis this weekend. Owners and partners Yana Pietras and Ian O'Neill source their vintage clothing and accessories on cross-country road trips in their 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer named Eleanor as well as from a buyer from Italy. Over a decade since she founded Audrey Rose Vintage, owner Jessie Witte has opened her first brick-and-mortar. Community Commons at Mall of America
Last fall, the Mall of America debuted Community Commons, a new, rent-free space dedicated to businesses struggling due to the pandemic or displaced due to civil unrest over the summer. Following its first run, the store has reopened with a fresh mix of local businesses owned by people of color. After designer resale shop June announced its move to 50th & France, we wondered what was coming to its former storefront near Lyndale & Lake in Uptown. The secret’s now out: The storefront is now home to LEGACY, a vintage clothing and home shop run by June owner Daune Stinson’s daughter, Ruby, who recently moved back home from NYC after over a decade working in the fashion and retail industry. June’s little sister store features a fresh, more casual mix of brands, more vintage goods, and a lower price-point than June, similar to that of most vintage stores. Now open.
