FRIDAY, 4/11: 

MAN DOWN: Heroes & Villains Fashion Show: Produced by Gayle Smaller, Jr, this fashion show concept celebrates menswear in the Twin Cities as a vehicle to bring awareness to male mental health. This spring’s show will highlight menswear collections from local designers using male and masc-presenting models. Before and after the show, you can also support local businesses by shopping the pop-up shop and learn more about mental health at the resource fair. Collected Gallery Opening Weekend: The Twin Cities’ newest art space, Collected Gallery, hosts its opening weekend offering a diverse selection of local and national artists, including Gina Gaetz, Brian Wagner and Amanda Blake. The gallery aims to make fine art and artisan goods accessible to a wide audience, featuring original artwork, prints, ceramics, jewelry and home goods at various price points. Textile Center’s Textile Garage Sale: The Textile Center’s garage sale is back for its fall edition. Rooms throughout the entire center will be stocked with secondhand fabric, yarn, notions, tools, looms, books, needlework and embroidery supplies and more. Sunday is a 50% off day. Westonka Outdoor Vintage Market: Westonka vintage store Modern Again hosts its first Westonka Outdoor Vintage Market of the season this Saturday. Expect multiple vendors in the parking lot with fun vintage finds, including antique and vintage furniture, home decor, primitives, clothing, accessories, toys and more. Spring Sip N Shop: Head to Brianno's Chart House for a sip-and-shop event featuring a 22 local vendors offering jewelry, clothing, chocolates, spa services, candles and more. Reuse MN Clothing Swap: Reuse MN and Eastside Co-op are hosting a sustainable clothing swap Saturday, where participants can bring unwanted clothing and exchange them for items brought by others. The event welcomes all ages, sizes and genders, with no requirement to donate in order to participate. Disco Death Records Record Store Day & Vintage Market: Uptown record and coffee shop Disco Death is celebrating Record Store Day with a vintage market with 18 vendors selling in their parking lot all day, including Siempre Viva Vintage, Red Eye Vintage and River Road Rags. For Record Store Day, they’re eschewing the official RSD releases in favor of new record drops including rare vinyl, mystery bags, different discounts on select used records and hidden Easter eggs in the racks. Runway for Hope: The annual show benefiting the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation returns to The Westin Edina Galleria for an evening of fashion, fundraising and community. Guests will enjoy a reception, silent and live auctions and a high-energy runway show curated by Grant Whittaker featuring trend-forward fashion and inspiring breast cancer patients sharing their journeys. Winner’s Circle: The Kentucky Derby Party: Hats aren't the year-round staple they once were, but Saturday's local Kentucky Derby parties is the perfect opportunity to don a stylish chapeau. The most fashion-forward is sure to be this party thrown by local milliner Karen Morris at the Four Seasons in downtown Minneapolis. It features a fashion show with creative direction by Grant Whittaker, a best hats and best outfit competition, a silent auction, local maker pop-ups, derby viewing and mint juleps, with 25% of ticket sales benefiting This Old Horse. Minnesota Arts and Designers Exhibition: As part of its spring event series, Black Fashion Week MN presents the Minnesota Arts and Designers Exhibition at Mia, formerly known as the Minnesota Met Gala.
