NOW OPEN:
Tandem Vintage
After a stint within the FindFurnish storefront in Northeast Minneapolis before hunkering down within its home studio during the pandemic, Tandem Vintage is striking out on its own with its first storefront. Founded by Amanda Baumann in 2011, Tandem specializes in colorful, playful, wearable vintage clothing, accessories and home goods from a mix of decades with a sustainable ethos. During the beginning of the pandemic, she was among the first local vintage sellers to do Instagram story sales—a blink-and-you-miss-it event that was ideal for couch shopping. Now, you can peruse her goods in person at her cozy, colorful storefront, located within the space formerly occupied by The Fitting Room (which has since moved to a larger space next door). Now open @ 316 W 38th St, Minneapolis, tandemvintage.com
Moth Oddities
After nearly seven years selling vintage online, in local pop-ups and on the road, Moth Oddities has finally opened the doors to their new storefront in Northeast Minneapolis this weekend. Owners and partners Yana Pietras and Ian O'Neill source their vintage clothing and accessories on cross-country road trips in their 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer named Eleanor as well as from a buyer from Italy. In addition to vintage, the duo will sell products by makers (both local and from around the U.S.) who put an emphasis on sustainable practices, especially those from BIPOC & LGBTQIA communities, including Duke Albert, Oya Beauty and Gigi’s Flair Emporium. Now open: Friday & Saturday noon–6pm, Sunday noon–5pm @ 2201 NE 2nd St, Minneapolis, mothoddities.com

LEGACY
After designer resale shop June announced its move to 50th & France, we wondered what was coming to its former storefront near Lyndale & Lake in Uptown. The secret’s now out: The storefront is now home to LEGACY, a vintage clothing and home shop run by June owner Daune Stinson’s daughter, Ruby, who recently moved back home from NYC after over a decade working in the fashion and retail industry. June’s little sister store features a fresh, more casual mix of brands, more vintage goods, and a lower price-point than June, similar to that of most vintage stores. Now open. Hours: Wednesday–Saturday 11am–5pm @ 3406 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, 612-545-7470, instagram.com/shoplegacystore
