Buckanaga Social Club presents: A Day of Fashion at the Grounds
Head to East Lake Pow-Wow Grounds for a day of fashion from Buckanaga Social Club, a group of Indigenous Minnesotan artists and designers. The day includes a ribbon shirt and skirt contest (5pm), art sale (3pm), basketball tournament, food and music. Pop-up Party at Galleria
As part of its “FloralPop” summer experience, Edina’s Galleria shopping center and Artful Living magazine are throwing a one-of-a-kind party full of fashion, art and fun. The main event will be a Pop Art-meets-fashion showcase styled and produced by local fashion vet Grant Whittaker. The party also includes cocktails, sweet treats, and a pop-art gallery of models turned into works of art Attendees can also meet and mingle with Galleria’s FloralPop artist, Lindsey Made This, and snag an exclusive silk scarf featuring Lindsey’s custom design. Indigo & Snow Online Shop Update
A local textile studio dedicated to sustainable design, Indigo & Snow is having its biggest shop update of the season before it shutters its product line this fall. Rosenthal Minnetonka Launch Party

A summer mainstay since 2006, the market features over 120 local farmers, food makers and artisans with a goal of building a local, sustainable and organic food economy in a vibrant, educational outdoor marketplace. Crazy Days & Marktstrasse in New Ulm
After last year’s hiatus, this annual shopping event is coming back to New Ulm. Crazy Days includes a “ball drop” with special surprise deals from local stores, and local shops will be selling discounted merchandise within their stores. The day also includes the Marktstrasse Maker Fair presented in partnership with Maker Fair Minnesota. Each of the two dozen vendors only sells handcrafted items. Curly Girl Boutique presents Christmas in July
Three months after opening in the Standish neighborhood of Minneapolis, Curly Girl Boutique’s owner Emily Deutschman wants to give back. Her Christmas in July event will donate a portion of sales from the weekend to Cornerstone, a local non-profit that creates a safe space for families and children who are experiencing abuse or human trafficking. FloralPop: A Blooming Transformation
Spring is the season of transformation, and Galleria is taking inspiration by transforming its building into a floral canvas. As part of the spring FloralPop showcase, the exterior of the shopping center will be temporarily wrapped in fun, eye-catching floral graphics custom created by local artist, Lindsey Made This (@LindseyMadeThis). Lindsey’s illustrations will be brought to life through massive vinyl wraps applied to the exterior of Galleria’s brick building turning Galleria into a larger-than-life floral installation. After nearly seven years selling vintage online, in local pop-ups and on the road, Moth Oddities has finally opened the doors to their new storefront in Northeast Minneapolis this weekend. Owners and partners Yana Pietras and Ian O'Neill source their vintage clothing and accessories on cross-country road trips in their 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer named Eleanor as well as from a buyer from Italy. Over a decade since she founded Audrey Rose Vintage, owner Jessie Witte has opened her first brick-and-mortar. Brand Builders Market at Keg & Case
Self-described as a “holistic consulting firm for mission-driven natural brands,” the Twin Cities–based Brand Builders by KLC has launched a new Retail Incubation Space within the Keg & Case Market in St. Paul. Each quarter, they’ll debut a new group of local startup brands with natural products, giving them the opportunity to build brand awareness and test their products at retail. Brands include Maazah Chutney, Harmony Cricket Farm, Steve the Hemp Guy, Nomadic Frankincense, Rich CBD Chocolate, Field Theory Hemp, The Grandpa Soap Company and more. Community Commons at Mall of America
Last fall, the Mall of America debuted Community Commons, a new, rent-free space dedicated to businesses struggling due to the pandemic or displaced due to civil unrest over the summer. Following its first run, the store has reopened with a fresh mix of local businesses owned by people of color. New vendors include Arway Bags, clothing brand Love Disorder, Bogaballoons, Silk Road Wellness, LEVELS apparel and more. The storefront is also acting as a launching pad for some brands—Herbal Alchemy, a former Community Commons vendor, has just opened its own storefront. LEGACY
After designer resale shop June announced its move to 50th & France, we wondered what was coming to its former storefront near Lyndale & Lake in Uptown. The secret’s now out: The storefront is now home to LEGACY, a vintage clothing and home shop run by June owner Daune Stinson’s daughter, Ruby, who recently moved back home from NYC after over a decade working in the fashion and retail industry. June’s little sister store features a fresh, more casual mix of brands, more vintage goods, and a lower price-point than June, similar to that of most vintage stores. Now open.
