NE Farmers Market After Dark: The Northeast Farmers Market kicks off its monthly night market outdoors at Bauhaus Brew Labs tonight. Sven Clogs 50th Anniversary Trunk Show + Custom Clog Event: Edina boutique Serge + Jane is launching their own custom clog design for Minnesota-based Sven Clogs with a launch party. The party doubles as a 50th anniversary celebration for Sven Clogs, which will also host a trunk show at the store during the event. Fusion: The Art of Adornment & Mixed Media Closing Reception: Wearable art and mixed-media artwork come together in this fashion-forward exhibition from jewelry artist and designer Susan Horowitz and artists Pario Max and Barbara Belknap. It celebrates the dynamic interplay between the artists’ respective mediums while exploring texture, form and material. Mends & Friends at Moth Oddities: Do you have a growing pile of clothes that you love but “just need a little fix” before you can wear them again? Then head to vintage shop Moth Oddities as it hosts Mends & Friends, a casual happy hour for friends to mend together at the shop’s adjoining studio space. Hermine Soft Opening: Downtown Minneapolis is getting its first vintage shop with this weekend's opening of Hermine. Founded by husband-and-wife couple Lilly Alexander and Willy Schwartz, the shop is an offshoot of Goodshop Badshop, the duo's popular online vintage store. Like GSBS, Hermine will emphasis quality craftsmanship and timeless designs, including primarily natural fibers like linen, silk, wool and cotton, and it will carry a mix of men's and women's vintage apparel, accessories and home decor, as well as a special assortment from my very own Rosella Vintage. The shop will eventually host a series of creative workshops and community events centered around sustainable fashion practices including upcycling. A grand opening event is slated for August 2 from 5–8pm with live music, refreshments, light bites and giveaways. Totally Rad Summer Bash: The Totally Rad Vintage Fest returns to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds for its big summer market with more than 70 vendors. The fest features ’80s, ‘90s and Y2K-era vintage primarily focusing on clothing but there will also be records, toys, video games, home goods and more. Taking place indoors at the Grandstand, the event also includes a free-play vintage arcade, Rad Rewind Museum, nostalgic photo ops and more. Rain or shine. JXTA's 2nd Annual Sneaker Ball Fundraiser: Nonprofit youth art and design education center JXTA hosts its annual fundraiser.
