Twin Cities Style & Shopping: 6/11–6/17

This week’s local style and shopping highlights include the debut of this summer’s Nicollet Xchange Swap + Shop, the Stone Arch Bridge Festival and more.

The Nicollet Xchange Swap + Shop returns to Nicollet Mall this week.

Les Sól Announces Closing: Nearly four years after opening right at the beginning of the pandemic, Uptown boutique Les Sól has announced it will close at the end of the month. Founded by sisters Mikaela and Megan Harrod, the shop had a passion for community, small brands, independent artists and and sustainability. In an Instagram post, the store cited various reasons for the closure and the ongoing struggles it faced—starting with COVID, then the economy and inflation, fast-fashion companies like Shein and Amazon competing for customers’ dollars, and most recently, the unrelenting construction in front of the store on Lake Street. The shop currently has fresh markdowns throughout the store, and a closing party is planned for June 22. @ 1614 W Lake St, Minneapolis, shoplessol.com
