Where There Was Wind Opening Reception: A collaborative arts event between Moth Oddities vintage store and art collective Three Circle Shop. Where There Was Wind highlights work by Moth Oddities co-owner Yana Pietras’s mother, the late Michaela Mahady, an influential architect and artist who died in 2020 from acute leukemia. The gallery showcases the wide breadth of her life's work including: original sculpture, fiber work, paintings, sketches, journal entries, and projected images of her large-scale architecture and art glass designs. In addition, gallery collaborators and local artist trio, Three Circle Shop, will present their striking sculptures made from wood, wool, steel, and concrete paired with the artist’s profound words about his father, who was hit and killed by a drunk driver.
