This week in local shopping highlights includes flea markets, farmers markets, a big vintage sidewalk sale and more.

Uptown vintage clothing shop, Leisure World, hosts a blowout sidewalk sale this Sunday with guest vendors.

Avant Garden 2023: The party of the year is returning this September 23! This year’s artful benefit welcomes guests indoors for a night of dancing, dining, cocktails, and more high-style happenings amongst the artful backdrops within the iconic museum. TUESDAY, 6/27:

The Nicollet xChange: Presented by Global Fashion Exchange, LUUM Collective and Downtown Improvement District, this weekly outdoor pop-up gives downtowners the chance to swap quality and quirky items in a marketplace setting. Each month will have a different theme as well as demos featuring a local artist, maker or expert to share skills like how to mend holes in clothing or tips to keep house plants thriving. The Markets at Viking Lakes: Summer Series: The Viking Lakes multi-use development in Eagan is hosting a weekly market every Tuesday evening featuring 50+ vendors, theme days, food, craft beer, live music and more. NE Farmers Market After Dark: The Northeast Farmers Market is back with its monthly night market at Bauhaus Brew Labs. AudreyRose Vintage Food Truck Evening: Anchor Fish & Chips is popping up at AudreyRose Vintage for a nighttime event. Head inside for some after-hours vintage shopping, and grab some classic fish and chips from the food truck after you shop. Plus: AudreyRose will be lining the sidewalk with sale tables and Sister Sludge Coffee is having a special bottle sale, too. Monthly Vendor Kickoff + Sidewalk Sale @ Olio Vintage: Vintage shop Olio Vintage has a fresh crop of local vendors new to the shop for the month of July. Help welcome these newcomers with complimentary cold press from 11am–2pm, bubbly from 2–6pm, and snacks all day. Plus all weekend they’re hosting a sidewalk sale with assorted vintage clothing and goods from its resident vendors, mostly in the $5–$10 range. Racks will be restocked daily. Mill City Farmers Market: A mainstay since 2006, the Mill City Farmers Market has moved outdoors for the summer season every Saturday through October. Each event features 50+ local farmers, food makers and artisans with a goal of building a local, sustainable and organic food economy. NE Farmers Market: The NE Farmers Market is back outdoors for the season. Midsommar Makers Market: The Society for the Strange and Unusual returns for its latest makers market event, in honor of the summer solstice. Traders Market Elko: Traders Market is one of Minnesota’s largest antique shows and flea markets. Peruse goods from over 300 vendors on a 35-acre farm, including vintage items, collectibles, antiques, upcycled, repurposed and handmade goods, plus food trucks and beverages for sale. Clubhouse Market: A new, multi-vendor store brought to you by Devin and Kate, the duo behind Clubhouse Market events and upcycled clothing brand Better Together, opened its doors in Uptown earlier this month. Better Together sells pre-loved garments, cut-and-sew creations, and silkscreened vintage goods with a casual, gender-free vibe. Stirling Castle Vintage: Following several years as a staple at vintage pop-ups around the Twin Cities, Nicole Davis’s Stirling Castle Vintage is bringing its fabulous goodies to the area on a regular basis with the opening of its new storefront. Moth Oddities: After nearly 10 years selling vintage online, on the road and quickly outgrowing their first storefront, Moth Oddities is relocating to a larger storefront in the heart of the Saint Anthony neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis. Half of the space will be used for the Moth Oddities vintage shop, including a designated Italian vintage section and an assortment of accessories, home goods and work by local and independent brands. Fashion Show Fundraiser: MsDenishia, creator of The Modeling Boot Camp, hosts this annual fashion show fundraiser to support MECP2 Duplication Syndrome—a neurological disorder with which her young son was diagnosed. For the first time, the show is partnering with Native designers for a special collaboration. The show is followed by MsDenishia’s 53rd birthday celebration.
