The Textile Center's Textile Garage Sale: The Textile Center’s garage sale returns for one weekend this year. Vol. 2 Twogether: Jacob Z Wan Exhibition Opening: Vol.2 Twogether is a solo exhibition of Jacob Z Wan that explores the intimacy and closeness of the relationship from the LGBTQ experience. using materials and objects from the bedroom, Wan creates a dreamy atmosphere for audiences to immerse themselves in waves of emotions and layers of love. Edina Art Fair 2022: The 56th annual Edina Art Fair is the first official art fair of the year, showcasing artwork and handmade goods for sale by over 250 artists and makers from Minnesota and the U.S. Held at the intersection of 50th and France, the fair is packed with craft beer and artisan food options, including craft beer gardens and a food court. Maker highlights include Larissa Loden Jewelry, Slow Burn beeswax candles and more. Clubhouse Market: Grand Opening Weekend: A new, multi-vendor store brought to you by Devin and Kate, the duo behind Clubhouse Market events and upcycled clothing brand Better Together, opens its doors in Uptown this weekend. Better Together sells pre-loved garments, cut-and-sew creations, and silkscreened vintage goods with a casual, gender-free vibe. Pop-up Ceramics Party at Vuefinder Optical: Indie eyewear shop Vuefinder Optical hosts a pop-up sale with local ceramic artist Stephanie DeArmond. Stephanie uses traditional hand-building techniques to make complex constructions from slabs of clay. Each piece is unique, finished with glazes, vintage ceramic decals or painted-on black slip. Minnesota Swim Week Finale Event: For this first edition, Minnesota Swim Week is partnering with local and national brands to promote swimwear and summer style with an emphasis on inclusion, representation, body positivity and empowerment. Market Collective MN Makers Market: Led by local maker Chingona Goods, Market Collective MN is a market collective that prioritizes BIPOC and queer vendors and allies, with a different group of makers each market. Parker Posey: Party Girl Film Screenings: “Queen of the Indies” Parker Posey stars in this iconic, cult-favorite film from the ‘90s about an uber-fashionable downtown club kid who takes a job as a librarian. It also tells the story of the ’90s underground New York club scene and features costume design that combines vintage Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier pieces with thrifted items—the movie is essentially an hour-and-a-half style montage with one high-style look after another.
