Minnesota Landscape Arboretum’s Spring Flower Show: There’s no better time to see a flower show than the end of winter when spring feels so close yet so far away. The Arboretum’s annual Spring Flower Show features a theme of “Gardening With Nature” with a special emphasis on gardens that benefit birds, bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects, as well as backyards that utilize found materials. There will also be vignettes on display featuring inspiring spring gardening ideas, and don’t pass up a visit to the balmy Meyer-Deats Conservatory, which will be decked out with succulents, orchids and more. Olio Vintage: New vintage collective store, Olio Vintage, is a unique collective of specialty vintage retailers brought together under one roof in Northeast Minneapolis. Black Garnet Books: The only Black-owned bookstore in Minnesota, community member Dionne Sims launched Black Garnet Books two years ago online in direct response to state violence and to address racial inequality within the publishing and literary industries.
