Dinosaur Hampton launches website: Benjamin Kelly of Dinosaur Hampton has been known for his custom chainstitch embroidery pop-ups around the Twin Cities over the past few years. Last April, he shifted gears from embroidery to launch his own original clothing line—and for the first time, it’s now available online. Inspired by vintage clothing, the gender-neutral collection includes chambray and cotton twill pants, classic cotton workshirts, moleskin cotton chore coat–style jackets and corduroy waist aprons in a range of neutral and warm colors. Community Supported Art 2023: Springboard for the Arts is once again partnering with MN Center for Book Arts, Bench Pressed Letterpress, Bruno Press, Creative Handmade Goods and artists from Springboard’s Ready Made program for Community Supported Art—a CSA for local art. Choose from three boxes of artwork, each one curated by the partner organizations and featuring handcrafted artwork by local makers. Shares cost $350, which means a CSA box full of locally crafted art will be delivered to you in February, March and April 2023. European Christmas Market - Final Weekend: The European Christmas Market in St. Paul claims to be the most authentic traditional holiday market of its kind in Minnesota. Holidazzle - Final Weekend: It’s back! The long-running Holidazzle festival has returned in full form this holiday season to Loring Park. Departments at Dayton's Winter Maker's Market: Following its debut one year ago, the Departments at Dayton's is back with another holiday pop-up market. Six for Good Holiday Popup: After having met at a 2017 holiday popup at the Mall of America, six local makers joined forces to create Six for Good, a collective with a mission to give back to the community. Textile Center Holiday Gallery Shop: Every holiday season, the Textile Center’s artisan shop fills the center’s gallery spaces with unique fiber art and textile goods perfect for gift. giving. TMORA Holiday Shop at Russian Museum of Art: Located on the mezzanine level of The Museum of Russian Art, the TMORA Shop is a gallery within a gallery. Vintage Figurines from Dayton's Holiday Show Display: A beloved Twin Cities holiday tradition has returned. In partnership with the Hennepin Theatre Trust and 50th & France, the Douglas Flanders art gallery is hosting a quintet of beloved characters from Dayton’s iconic Holiday Show for the holiday season. It marks the first time these refurbished vintage figurines—The Fox and The Cat from Pinocchio 1991, Prince of the Dolls from Nutcracker 1997, Snow White from 2004, and Mole from The Wind in the Willows 1995)—have been on view since their original runs. The display kicks off a fundraising effort to renovate and repair all 34 Dayton’s Holiday Show figurines belonging to the Hennepin Theatre Trust. Historic Dayton’s Holiday Windows: The iconic Dayton’s building in downtown Minneapolis has some holiday magic of its own with its holiday windows. Visible at the corner of 8th and Nicollet, the windows are framed in a repeating 20-second visual light cycle, while the lights in the display showcase colors pulled from different holiday traditions. The displays once more feature a collection of Santa Bears and the creative styling of renowned window designer, Brian Guze.
