Local fashion designer Christopher Straub of Project Runway fame is putting up the runway pieces from his fall 2022 collection up for grabs at a steal. Neckerchief November Scarf Styling Party
The versatile accessory gets her own month (and party) with the 3rd annual Neckerchief November Scarf Soiree. The evening of bubbles, bites and boxknots is put on by accessories designer Marly Ramstad of Play by Marly and AudreyRose Vintage, with special guest maker Nickey Robo, who will be offering on-the-spot chainstitching customizations. Textile Center Holiday Gallery Shop opens
Every holiday season, the Textile Center’s artisan shop fills the center’s gallery spaces with unique fiber art and textile goods perfect for gift. giving. Olio Vintage presents Happiest Hour & Vendor Launch
Olio Vintage is a new collective shop of specialty vintage retailers (Olio, SALTY, Black Nvni and my own Rosella Vintage) brought together under one roof, and each month it will host a new group of vendors. First Thursday at Northrup King Building
First Thursdays are part of a long tradition of monthly events at the Northrup King Building—the largest building of artist studios in the state of Minnesota—which opens for the public to tour studios, meet the artists, and shop the art. Style highlights include Strey Collective, a cooperative boutique featuring goods from a collective of local fashion makers (#179). TMORA Holiday Shop Unveiling at Russian Museum of Art
The Museum of Russian Art Shop officially opens for the holiday season this weekend. Located on the mezzanine level of The Museum of Russian Art, the TMORA Shop is a gallery within a gallery. New vintage collective store, Olio Vintage, is a unique collective of specialty vintage retailers brought together under one roof in Northeast Minneapolis. Dubbed “an in-person experience place,” Together is a new shop in Northeast Minneapolis selling a mix of thoughtfully curated goods from small brands. Black Garnet Books
The only Black-owned bookstore in Minnesota, community member Dionne Sims launched Black Garnet Books two years ago online in direct response to state violence and to address racial inequality within the publishing and literary industries. Now, Sims has opened the shop’s first brick-and-mortar in St. Paul. Local designer favorite Rammy Mohamed is hosting a grand opening for her new Ramandhan Designs studio, popping up through January. Departments at Dayton's Winter Maker's Market: Following its debut one year ago, the Departments at Dayton's is back with another holiday pop-up market.
