Scout Grand Re-opening: After a driver crashed their car into Scout’s historic St. Paul storefront last August, the men’s apparel and gift shop was forced to shutter until the building and retail space could be restored. RETHINK Tailoring Grand Opening Party: Just in time for Earth Month, RETHINK Tailoring & Sewing Lounge debuts its brand-new storefront. The business founded by tailor and designer Kristen McCoy has a mission of getting garments back into rotation, altering and upcycling garments that are one year or older. The storefront will also feature clothing designs for purchase, made from secondhand and surplus fabrics, plus more locally made upcycled goods. RETHINK also aims to arm the community with sewing skills, hosting weekly sewing, mending and upcycling classes, and offering its sewing lounge for rental by the hour.
