The Cynical Fool drops The Bow Collection: Local artist The Cynical Fool has just released a new collection of vintage lingerie—slips, half slips, crop tanks and baby tees—screen printed with their original bow illustrations and festooned by ribbon bows. It’s inspired by local jewelry brand Cloaked in Confidence, known for their hyper-femme jewelry made from vintage components including bows and pearl accents. Both are vendors at Olio Vintage (21 5th St NE, Minneapolis), where you can find the collection in person. There are also a select few available on their website, thecynicalfool.co

Olio Vintage Monthly Happy Hour: Vintage shop Olio Vintage welcomes a fresh crop local vendors and artists to the store this month with a happy hour. This month’s rotating guest vintage vendor is NCI Resale (vintage and secondhand clothing) and joining the store as a permanent vendor is Renegade Rags (vintage casual masc clothing from brands like Ralph Lauren, Patagonia and more). SATURDAY, 1/4:

Tare Market Clothing Swap: Ring in the new year with some new-to-you secondhand clothing finds at this clothing swap hosted by zero-waste goods store Tare Market. Supported by sustainable event producer LUUM Collective, the swap includes women's, men's and kids clothing, shoes and accessories. Mill City Farmers Market: A mainstay since 2006, the Mill City Farmers Market is back indoors for the season, popping up every first and third Saturday with a curated, diverse group of over 50 local farmers, food makers and handcrafted artisans hailing from across the state. New Year Vision Board Collage Workshop: Vintage shop Moth Oddities hosts a vision board collage workshop led by abstract artist Gina Gaetz. The Artful Present + Holiday Market: Celebrate the season at Veronique Wantz Gallery's annual holiday group show, The Artful Present. The opening reception includes a pop-up of modern jewelry by Yen Chee Design as well as stunning art and unique gift ideas. The gallery, alongside neighboring businesses The Foundry Home Goods, UMEI and J. Atelier, will host a festive pop-up and market every Thursday through Saturday throughout the season, offering a variety of artworks and one-of-a-kind treasures perfect for holiday gifting. Rent the Runway Pop-up at MOA: Following the first sample sale last spring, Mall of America is partnering with Rent the Runway again on a pop-up style shop.
