Minnesota-based work boot brand, Red Wing Heritage, has tapped Taiwan’s Want Show Laundry for a new collaboration and campaign. The eye-catching images showcase Want Show owners Chang Wan-ji and Hsu Sho-er in looks they’ve created from forgotten and left-behind garments they’ve laundered at their shop. The couple is by now Instagram-famous for their unique personal style.
But the images are just a jumping-off point for their collaboration, which celebrates circular, sustainable fashion. Red Wing Heritage & Want Show Laundry: A Celebration of Circular Fashion features a collection curated by the two brands of 30 extremely rare Red Wing prototypes, special editions and unreleased styles that will be up for auction on eBay beginning Wednesday, March 17. You can preview the collection via the auction catalog.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Want Show Redefine Project, an initiative that helps promote circular fashion through the reselling of forgotten garments that fill Taiwanese laundry shops. Each item will be released for bidding at 9am CST on March 17. Bidding will be open for 7 days, and each boot goes to the highest bidder.
