First Thursdays @ AudreyRose Vintage: As part of First Thursdays at the Northrup King Building, vintage shop AudreyRose Vintage is hosting an evening of photographic vintage fun. She’ll be joined by stylist Abby Kordosky and photographer Anna Powell, who’ll style and shoot attendees in vintage garb, photobooth-style. Curiosity Studio Open Studio Making Night: Get your creative juices flowing with this open studio night with Curiosity Studio at part of Northrup King First Thursdays. A Night to Kill Kancer: Art of Prevention + MartinPatrick3 Ice Bar Grand Opening: Celebrate the debut of the 2020 cancer prevention graphic posters series from Kill Kancer, hosted by local menswear and design boutique, MartinPatrick3. Pick up a limited-edition print, proceeds of which benefit the cancer prevention nonprofit. The night doubles as the kickoff of the MartinPatrick3 Ice Bar, which takes place in the adjacent alley with cocktails from Hewing Hotel. That’s what inspired two Twin Cities sisters, Amy and Chelsea, to start their own business selling vintage clothing in a wide range of sizes, for every gender expression. Stranger & Co. Sweetheart Markets: Stranger & Co. is a small, woman-owned online shop based in the Twin Cities that’s focused on making high-quality design accessible and fairly priced, with goods from artists and designers who are women, people of color, LGBTQ+ and immigrants. The shop will be popping up at the new Waiting Room gallery space in St. Paul for the next two weeks with their selection of goods, and over the next two weekends, they’ll also host a handful of other local makers for Valentine’s gift shopping, including Ital Vibrations and Crybaby Clay this Saturday; Forrest Wasko and Artifactx Vintage on Sunday, and Nice Nice Ceramics and Runi Clay Studio both days.
