Minnesota Monthly: Style Editor
From 2014 to 2017, I worked as the Style Editor for Minnesota Monthly magazine, a regional magazine based in Minneapolis. During that time, my responsibilities included day-to-day and long-range planning of the style section for print (5 to 8 pages per month) and digital, with topics including trend, fashion, beauty, wellness, interiors and retail. In addition to writing all of the copy in my section, I selected and styled every fashion and product shoot, and represented the magazine with regular local TV appearances radio spots and in-person events. Here is a sampling of fashion editorials created during my time with the magazine:
Fall 2016 Fashion
For the fall 2016 fashion editorial for Minnesota Monthly magazine, I co-conceived, styled and wrote a story inspired by trends from the fall 2016 runways, including designer fashions from Nordstrom, local boutiques and local designers. The story appeared both in print and digital channels for the magazine.
FALL 2017 fashion
For the fall 2017 quarterly fashion editorial for Minnesota Monthly magazine, I conceived, styled and wrote a story on location at the idyllic Parley Lake Winery's vineyard and apple orchard with an incredibly talented team. "This year’s fall fashions are vine-ripened and fresh for the picking. We showcase the season’s top trends against the pastoral backdrop of vineyards and apple orchards at Parley Lake Winery in Waconia. Western-inspired and prairie-chic styles pair with pieces by homegrown brands."

For the spring 2015 quarterly fashion editorial for Minnesota Monthly magazine, I conceived, styled and wrote a story inspired by the idea of taking runway-inspired fashions to the streets. The story appeared both in print and digital channels for the magazine.
Spring 2016 Fashion
For the spring 2016 fashion editorial for Minnesota Monthly magazine, I co-conceived, styled and wrote a story inspired by the neutral tones and natural inspiration of the spring 2016 runways, with each look highlighting a spring trend. The story appeared both in print and digital channels for the magazine. A behind-the-scenes story on the editorial was also featured on Twin Cities Live on KSTP-TV.
50 YEARS OF STYLE: SPRING FASHION 2017
Minnesota Monthly celebrated 50 years of publication in 2017. For our April issue, we decided to showcase spring fashion over the decades. The looks that were inspired by each decade the magazine has been around - 1967, 1977, 1987, 2007 and today. We also took iconic spots in the Twin Cities and added them into the pictures to give a sense of the city’s history and looks back then.
